Death Tunnel rides on an all-too-simple and well-worn theme. The house where the individuals are locked in, in this case voluntarily, is meant to become their private hell. This simply needed a bit of ingenuity, but the filmmakers didn't delve into any of it and just played on the fact that this would appeal to gore lovers. But they also forgot about the gore and there's hardly any, just a lot of blood.
