Finally, got some proper laughs with Robin's travel escapades, shoutouts to Misery (1990), Ted's free time activities, and of course, Barney's wit. I've been racking my brain about how five people who are always throwing shade and invading each other's privacy can even call themselves friends. The sixth episode fell into the same pit of uninteresting plotlines as many before it. At last, an episode that was kind of pointless, but at least it gave me a chuckle. Only a tiny one, though. Their efforts felt pathetic; someone hitting me with the revelation that I should start with myself if I don't like something about others doesn't exactly qualify as groundbreaking philosophy. It also felt like the writers assumed we were all suffering from collective memory loss, implying Robin's main beef with Patricia is her relationship with Barney, even though she was yelling at her long before that.
