Dr. Gregory House zord külseje és mogorva stílusa első látásra nem éppen bizalomgerjesztő. A különc orvos határozott elve ráadásul a következőképpen hangzik: a betegséget kell kezelni és nem a beteget, hiszen a betegeket csak arra "találták ki", hogy az orvosok munkáját nehezítsék. Öntörvényű, renitens alak, de kétségtelenül hatalmas szaktekintély. Kis csapata csupa lelkes és ígéretes fiatal orvosból áll, akiket ő maga válogatott ki - persze sajátságos kritériumok alapján. Számára egy dolog fontos igazán: hideg fejjel megoldani az ügyet, vagyis felfedni a betegség mivoltát és bizonyítást nyerni. (TV2)

Doktor House (2004)
Tragicomic life cynicism and dry sarcasm meet within a brilliantly pragmatic doctor, who may at first glance see his patients mainly as objects of amusing scrutiny, but underneath all that black-humored veneer lies an emotionally crippled, but at his innermost core, good-hearted man. With his charismatic appearance as the unshaven and limping doctor, Hugh Laurie deservedly garners all the accolades and recognition. However, it would be unfair to leave out the rest of his teammates/opponents, the most notable of whom is Lisa Edelstein as the hospital director Dr. Lisa Cuddy, who has to keep officially apologizing to that the madman. The concept of episodes that are not connected does not bother me much, nor surprisingly does the series get boring. Although some of the episodes are lower in quality than the overall average, it is impossible not to love this series. If only for the wonderful life philosophy that "everyone lies!"
