In the hundred-year-plus history of aviation, truly radical new aircraft designs come along only once in a generation, and since the early 1970s, there has been very little new in the skies... that is, until now. Soaring onto the passenger airline scene are the "game changing" Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the Airbus A380. See how a century of aviation trial and error, and some of the seminal airplanes of the 20th century influenced the design of the Dreamliner.
