Mister Buddwing

Garner plays an amnesiac who wakes up on a bench in Central Park, unable to remember anything about himself. He decides to take the name "Buddwing," based on a beer ad and a plane that he sights when he first awakens. He then has several encounters which slowly lodge his past back into his memory. Ross is the girl who reminds him of his ex-fiancee from college. Pleshette is an actress who plays several records for Garner, forcing him to remember that, due to poverty, he abandoned a career as a composer when he was younger. Simmons is a socialite who takes Garner to a crap game in Harlem. There, he recalls that his wife is recovering from a suicide attempt after his unpleasant reaction to her pregnancy.
