Tommi, a little boy, disappears from a small village and his father is accused of killing him. He gets released for insufficient evidence as they can't find the body. Five years later, the abandoned body of a little boy is found. His DNA matches Tommi's. The case is seemingly closed, but Tommi's mother doesn't believe this is her son. Quite successful for the Italians, the film reminded me more of the Scandinavians in its conception, but it was not my cup of tea. The premise is decent, but I was more bored than entertained. The director throws in some interesting twists at the end, but even that couldn't satisfy me enough. 55%

Krampus is an interesting contemporary trend, and Italian creators have decided to make a film about it - not through the horror route, but rather a thriller that will have very strong realistic elements, i.e., investigation, media scrutiny, and psychological issues of the characters. Probably the last one is the strongest, although the ending is still kind of weird.
