La pasión de Judas

Based on a local Easter tradition of some Spanishspeaking villages in which a doll representing Judas is stoned, lynched or burned for his betrayal of Christ, the film is the last of the "Tales of cardboard" trilogy made in collaboration with the Occupational Centre in the Valleseco township in Gran Canaria, which takes care of mentally disabled men and women. The director works with austere sets, nuanced performances and some irrational actions. (IFF Bratislava)
