Motorcycle pizza delivery girl Anouk pines for teacher Laurel while studying for her college entrance exams. But Laurel is scared off by Anouk and flees to Brazil. Finding it more difficult than he though to return home, Laurel comes back months later, shell-shocked and broke. Hoping to rouse Laurel's memory, Anouk retraces his route from Brazil to Mexico to the US, filming and recording along the way.
