Charles, Anne and their seventeen year old daughter, Elizabeth, have lived for fifteen years in their pretty apartment in the heart of Paris. Charles works for a finance company. He is in charge of the bad debt department. After chasing debtors for so long, Charles has become progressively more and more careful with his money.
