Igby Walters is a sound recordist in Hollywood. Pressures of long days and unstable working conditions are getting to him and he gradually loses his grasp on reality. This dark action thriller, thematically related to falling down, centers on Igby's nervous breakdown and the consequent dangerous actions of an unappreciated and misunderstood man, set against the backdrop of Tinseltown where boundaries of imagination and reality are already blurry. Igby's lack of social skills do no stop him from acting out, doing whatever he feels is right, no matter the consequences.
