Simon is a 9 year-old boy with a fantasy world of his own: here he has a real lion as a companion. A beast with strengths Simon himself is missing. In his fantasy world Simon and the lion are undefeatable. But in reality, during school breaks, Simon is hunted by the two-year-older Alex. Simon lives alone with his mother Karin. One day however, she meets a man - Björn - and falls in love with him. Eventually Simon gets very fond of Björn and step by step he starts to realise that Björn probably is the only one who can save him from his tormentor. But then it turns out that Björn is the father of Alex. Karin and Björn don't know that there is something going on between Simon and Alex and one day they are revealing that they are about to move in together.
