Ašita kuru hito

Sonejiro (Rentaro Mikuni) sacrifices all comfort and devotes himself to researching the behaviors of a Japanese endemic fish and is introduced to Kaji through Kaji’s daughter, Yachiyo, to raise financing for his research. Yachiyo is a typical Japanese housewife of the 1950’s who is disappointed with her husband, Kappei - he is more attracted to mountain climbing and a young girl, Kyoko. When Yachiyo's father is thrown into the mix, lives collide, good will turns evil, and all happiness is at stake. (Nikkatsu)
