Vienna, 1938. Following the Kristallnacht and his father’s murder at the hands of the Nazis, Ferry Tobler, a Jewish teenager, flees Austria. He ends up in Prague where he makes the acquaintance of Gandhi, an anti-Nazi German soldier on the run fromDachau, and Alena, a Czech woman in charge of helping refugees.
