Of all Wes Anderson's Roald Dahl shorts this year, this one entertained me the least. ()
A great story with a decent patina of mystery at the end that lifts it up. Roald Dahl's writing is superb. Wes Anderson's production design is incredibly well thought out and doesn't become annoying due to the short running time. In a feature film, however, it would be exhausting. ()
The Swan struck me as the most poetic of Wes Anderson's adaptations of Dahl, and from a narrative point of view I found it most directed at the viewer, who watches a boy's trauma staged by the narrator himself. I also liked the seamless transitions between scenes. ()
