Sweet Dreams

Indonesia, in the last days of the colonial era. When Jan, the Dutch owner of a sugar plantation, dies on a remote island, his wife Agathe tries by all means to preserve her threatened status quo. Desperate, she gets her estranged son Cornelis to return from Europe with her wife Josephine so as to take over the family business.
