Financed by André Citroën, the expedition of the Mission Citroën Center-Asia, the Yellow Cruise, must link Beirut to Beijing in half-track vehicles. A first group led by Georges-Marie Haardt left Lebanon on April 4, 1931 to find a second group halfway from Beijing led by Victor Point.
