angol Despite the subject matter and the title, Sharksploitation is a very serious documentary about the depiction of sharks in the history of cinema from the 1930s to the present day, as well as about sharks in general and how films have negatively shape the image of sharks in society. The film offers very nicely and entertainingly composed mix of talking heads (ranging from filmmakers to experts in marine zoology) and clips from every possible film with sharks, naturally including the biggest trash flicks (though rather towards the end). Plus a heap of little-known stories from the film industry and debunking of the biggest myths about sharks. ()

angol Sharksploitation is a very accomplished and unexpectedly multi-layered documentary, in which the theme of shark exploitation is dealt with on multiple levels, be it cinematic, mythological or real. It's also a very entertaining compilation of excerpts from all sorts of shark films, whether relatively good or objectively awful, that can give you many tips on rightly or wrongly forgotten cinematic works that you'll want to watch after this documentary.
