Adam Evans (Anthony Hopkins) is a middle- aged college professor having a torrid affair with a beautiful young coed (Bo Derek). In retaliation, his wife Karyn (Shirley MacLaine) begins sleeping with a sexy young carpenter (Michael Brandon).
