Nine-year-old Trang and her cousin tenderly take care of ants, for which they have built a home out of plastic containers covered with colourful stickers. Their playfulness reflects the seriousness of life. Downstairs in the living room, the adults are caring for their dying grandmother. With great sensitivity, Carol Nguyen depicts how her protagonist becomes aware of the challenging situation: with looks, cautious approaches to grandma, and death. (Berlinale)
