Carol & Johnny

In the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, Johnny and Carol Williams robbed 56 banks together across the American west. At the time, it was the longest consecutive string of unsolved bank robberies in FBI history. When they were finally caught in 1994, Carol got 20 years and Johnny got life. They remained married even after Carol was released and Johnny was still in prison. But in 2021, Johnny got out. Johnny lives in a halfway house in Seattle. Carol cares for a dying aunt in Dallas. She left Texas once before - forty-one years ago, for Johnny.Now she must decide whether she will leave again. But as they remember their shared past, their memories diverge. Carol resolves to create a new future independent of the husband she once thought she knew. This is a story about how some people change and some people don’t.
