Yes, there are a lot of changes, but not against the sense of the substance. Louis's vampire birth was moved to 1910 from 1791. This time he is not the plantation owner, who is mourning the loss of his wife, and he attracts Lestat with his noisy suicide attempts. On the contrary, Louis is a pimp, seeking his place in the sun and trying to defend his role in the family and in the underworld...
