angol One of the best television fairy tales, which, despite its typically simple sets, scored points thanks to its casting and comedic stylization. The portrayals by Iva Janžurová as the quirky witch, Rudolf Hrušínský as the aging robber, and Ondřej Havelka as the cunning and self-centered mayor's son never fails to make me laugh, even as an adult. There are plenty of memorable lines, exaggeration, songs, witty dialogues, and romance. Overall impression: 90%. ()

angol Unbelievable wackiness, but in the best sense of the word. You can see in each of the actors how much they enjoyed making this fairy tale. Especially watching Iva Janžurová and Rudolf Hrušínský, i.e., Baba Magi and Grandpa Bujón, is unforgettable, but none of the others are to be missed either. The script is also full of the puns I love so much... If only it was all maybe a little shorter. ()
