A group of boys enjoying a swim offers an idea of the era’s concept of documentary film. Fascination with the human body, its changes, and the differences between the sexes form the leitmotif of Guy’s entire oeuvre.
For many early films from 1896-1899, we cannot determine their authorship, so we can only guess that they were filmed by Guy or with her input. The same goes for three other documentaries: Fisherman in the Current (1896?), Bathing in the Current, and Return from the Pole (1899?). (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
