Three friends leave their poetry club behind in order to prepare for the exam that will determine their lives. Their paths diverge –Min-young and Susanna set out to study, while for Jung-hee, who is unconcerned despite the fact that she has flunked, life is somewhere else. Between drawings and part-time jobs, immersed in her own reality, she possesses a playful spirit that no one else preserves. But is that a possibility? Or is being Korean “to worry about what the others think and seek stability,” as one of the girls says? The reunion with Min-young, who has become a college student obsessed with her grades, reveals that friendship during adulthood is harder than it seems. And that, in a society filled with mandates, success is perhaps another face of sadness, whereas imagination is a form of resistance. (Mar del Plata International Film Festival)
