Hidden in the mountains of Northern New Mexico lies the birthplace of the Atomic Age: The Los Alamos National Laboratory. The lab takes up forty-three square miles – indigenous land of the Tewa people, who are today cut off from their traditional shrines of worship: prayer sites are either fenced off or contaminated. The central meeting point for artists and activists is the Black Hole, a former supermarket. From the Black Hole, Ed Grothus, a former laboratory mechanic who became an outspoken pacifist, resells salvage of the Los Alamos National Laboratory. (DOK.fest München)
