Julius Ceasar, a ravasz római hadvezér kifundálta, hogy miként lehet meghódítani Britanniát. Bár a brit katonák rendkívül bátrak, de különös szokásoknak hódolnak: mindennap délután 5 órakor felfüggesztik a harcot azért, hogy forró vizet igyanak, de ami még ennél is meglepőbb, hetente öt csatanapot és két pihenőnapot tartanak. Nem csoda hát, ha a szemfüles rómaiak - a hétvégét kihasználva - elfoglalják Britanniát. Már csak egy kis brit falu lakói tartják magukat a túlerővel szemben. De vajon meddig lesznek képesek erre?! Még szerencse, hogy van egy Asterix nevű gall rokonuk, aki talán segíthet rajtuk. (Best Hollywood)

Fantastic! This is exactly what true animated entertainment should look like. If the poor Gauls had any idea how the Brits can spoil even a delicious boar, they would not have gone to their aid at all. Fortunately, they didn't and I was able to witness not only a series of unforgettable catchphrases and fights, but even the toughest rugby match in history, which I will truly never forget.

Traditional animated adventure based on the 1966 album "Asterix in Britain". Or Asterix, Obelix, Idefix, Astrix and a keg of magic drink on the go. It's nice, it's fine. The Brits can't cook, the Celts are all cousins and that's that :)

Another one of my favorite Asterix books, mainly because they constantly poke fun at the Britons. It's funny, it breaks stereotypes, and on top of that, it always has a story in which the Romans fit perfectly, as well as the whole story, which is actually a celebration of food and drink, although it may be a celebration in a somewhat negative sense of the word.

The only one of all the Asterix films that is a quality adaptation of a storybook adventure. Smart, yet understandable humour, this time spiced with a pinch of English dry humour.
