The small Danish nursing home Dagmarsminde has a unique approach to caring for people suffering from dementia: Instead of relying on medication, they have taken a cue from Florence Nightingale and devised a program consisting of hugs, conversations, eyecontact, cake and the occasional cocktail to treat the effects of the disease. It Is Not Over Yet is a moving and thought-provoking documentary about the role of humanity and dignity in the health service, which should spark debate about how we treat our elders in the final stages of their lives.
