Banditák (2001)

angol A take on Bonnie and Clyde, this time in a threesome. Willis doesn't surprise, but Bob Thornton as a sensitive hypochondriac and Cate Blanchett as the woman straddling the line between the two men are flawless. The final twist is not as breathtaking and some write here, but for the sake of my beloved Cate and Thornton, I'm going to get over myself and give it four stars.

Elizabeth (1998)

angol The opening with an execution by burning already gives the impression of an extraordinary experience. The visual imagination of Indian director Shekhar Kapur is very much in evidence. My favourite actress Cate Blanchett gives a riveting performance as Queen Elizabeth, rightfully nominated for an Oscar. If, like me, you enjoy smart historical dramas, Elizabeth is an obvious choice. And on a side note, there’s something even for football fans. One of the bigger roles is played (and quite well, it has to be said) by the legendary Manchester United striker Eric Cantona :o)

The Doors (1991)

angol A riveting portrait of a music legend and the hippie era. Stone, as a traditional myth-buster and provocateur, shows Morrison not only as a sensitive poet but also as a man possessed by inner demons and prone to self-destruction. Val Kilmer not only does a fantastic job as Morrison, but also sings wonderfully, what you hear in the film is not Morrison's voice, but Kilmer's, incredible as it seems.

A Fekete Kalóz (1976)

angol I really loved this as a little kid, be it in the cinema or in its many reruns on TV. I recently watched it again and I have to say that this adventure film has been chewed up by the ravages of time, whether it's the poor direction or the rather dodgy choreography of the fight scenes. Another one of my childhood idols is lost. But no regrets.

Lucky Luke és a nagyváros (1971)

angol This animated tale was shown at Easter yeas ago, and I remember that it was an entertaining cartoon that didn't disgrace the paper version. You can't expect any crap from Asterix creator Rene Goscinny.

Az ifjú Indiana Jones kalandjai (1992) (sorozat)

angol Educational courses in an attractive package, or how history haters can be made to learn about various events in human history without running away from it. Good idea and it’s really nice to watch.

Hahó! Megjött Maci Laci! (1964)

angol Yeah, it’s just as Trellíno says, Yogi Bear was my childhood. A brilliant story with unforgettable songs. I wipe away a tear and remember.

La Venexiana (1986)

angol I clearly remember this film. In the days of perestroika it was a big hit as it was the first erotic film screened in our country. As a teenager, I sneaked into to a summer cinema, where I, along with the packed audience, was looking forward to something special. Well, to tell you the truth, there wasn't much in the way of erotica. The main female character just shows her tits and that was it. But sometimes, even a little is enough, right? And yet, this film, which looks rather like a cheap episode of Red Shoe Diaries, drove crowds to the cinema during the communist days. The dam broke and the forbidden fruit tastes best.

Conan, a barbár (1982)

angol Weapons clanging and blood splattering in a monumental-looking, fantasy film. Arnold’s acting may be as stiff as a month-old load of bread, but I can't imagine anyone else as Conan. The film has a wonderful atmosphere of ancient times and Robert Howard can rest in his grave. What elevates it to almost a work of art is the – amazing, wonderful, fantastic, brilliant, monumental (take your pick) – soundtrack by Basil Poledouris. I haven't heard, and probably won't hear, anything better in the field of film soundtracks, and it's not just my opinion. If you haven't heard it, or don't have the CD, definitely get it and just enjoy it.

12 majom (1995)

angol In the best role of his career, Willis left his acting mannerisms behind and dropped his smile #1. An extraordinary film with a brilliantly conceived plot and a breathtaking ending. You won’t get bored for a moment and your brain will work at full speed. The only weakness is the Brad Pitt’s awful overacting, it ruined the impression of the film for me. Thanks to the gods of cinema for Terry Cilliam.
