Egymillió dolláros zsákmány (1952)

angol A film noir focusing on one man who was unjustly accused of robbery. He then decides to find out who was really behind the robbery. And that's when the film gets quite interesting. Unfortunately, the overall execution seemed rather lax to me, rather than one that truly utilized the potential of the story.

Shin Godzilla (2016)

angol Shin Godzilla is still a good film for me, and I'm curious about how the Japanese will continue in the legendary series. There's an animated version in the works, so we'll see what happens. This is a path that could be taken, but it could also be a completely new restart, a new concept, even more political and ecological, which perhaps in recent years has somewhat faded from the Godzilla series - mainly due to the American approach. I hope this isn't the end of it. The series has a lot to offer in terms of special effects.

Haraamkhor (2015)

angol A movie with a very interesting theme. A teacher in rural India falls in love with a girl, his student. Definitely not a relationship that would be considered right or socially acceptable. However, the theme is presented in such a peculiar way, I guess I expected more emotions, more drama. In my opinion, more could have been extracted from it.

Happy End (1999)

angol This film has a classic Japanese poeticism, where at first glance it's essentially a classic drama, which in this case involves a love triangle, but on the other hand, it's a film that can surprise you, with unexpected developments that may not resonate with everyone. But I like this development; I like where the Japanese take it.

Tarzan és asszonya (1934)

angol Another jungle tale where you almost feel like you've returned to a reality show scenario, watching how the characters further develop, what they experience, and what dangers they must confront. The animal scenes are still good, but overall I didn't find it that imaginative anymore. But Jane is more tolerable here than in the first part, and there are some good, bold scenes.

Vaiana (2016)

angol A very imaginative story where the imagination has no limits. Of course, Disney has the classic elements here, like the entertaining character of the rooster, but the songs are great, and above all, the animation is absolutely captivating. Plus, it's quite scary at times and quite psychedelic at others. A great cartoon, maybe the cartoon of the year.

Holdfény (2016)

angol I didn't know what to expect from this film at all, and I must say that in the end, I was perhaps hoping for something more. However, it once again confirms that even a slow pace can engage viewers and keep them captivated throughout. An intriguing character development, where it's almost a pity it wasn't captured in a real actor's adolescence like in the case of the film Boyhood.

Kerítések (2016)

angol After a long hiatus, Denzel Washington took up directing again and chose a stage play. The film takes place in a small space, but it doesn't matter at all. His Troy Maxson is great and he blew me away. The dialogue is excellent and the emotions flow naturally as in life. And this is what life is all about. We talk, we act, and sometimes we fuck up.

A nagyi szeme fénye (2006)

angol It's a subtle comedy that speaks more to someone who has ever played anything, whether on a computer or on a television. It's nice that the romance is more in the background and doesn't push to the forefront, because at that moment, it works quite well. There are funny scenes, quirky and mundane, a fairly American classic, but I lean more towards a positive assessment.

Krampus: The Reckoning (2015)

angol Krampus: The Reckoning is a bad film, and it's a bit sad that the only thing that manages to somewhat captivate you are those nude scenes that appear in it. And in this regard, the camera is quite accommodating. It almost takes on the form of soft porn, but again, don't expect much; those scenes aren't particularly long. Krampus, however, is definitely becoming one of the worst-handled monsters in horror history for me.
