An excellent series under the hallmark of the Tegrida farm. Among others, streaming services, transgender athletes, and shit collectors get their asses properly kicked. To each their own.

A visual delight that, while taken down a little by its genre duality, still entertains. It seems like a serious sci-fi full of dead bodies and about sacrificing your nearest and dearest with grafted-on humor from Guardians of the Galaxy. This means that for instance an emotive scene with a dying girl is followed by a scene with a robot harpooning space ships. The action in an environment that reminds one of Blomkamp’s Elysium is super; not trying to dis Netflix, but this really needs a movie theater screen.

This terrorist series involving throwing asteroids at each other is really inconsistent. The family intrigues of the unlikeable Inaros and his family hold back the story unnecessarily and it wouldn’t matter if it was cut out. The last episode is full-on, filled with shocking revelations, unfortunately before that we have four episodes where Naomi is simmering on the Chetzemoka and Amos wanders the forests somewhere near Baltimore. But why, for god’s sake? And the budget? Was it a decision of the series’ creators? This greatly tempts to watch the last series and I look forward to it, but I need to read the book first. Despite sexual harassment, Alex leaves the series as a hero. A little help! The bottle!

An unrealistic movie about people, intended as a feel-good picture. But thanks to De Niro and Hathaway, it is well-acted and works great. The old man is like an uncle to the youngsters in the office, he becomes more intimate with the boss and puts everything into the right perspective. A really nice fairytale.

Perversely clever and very pertinent. This goes from a banal ballad about people making fun of a former law student becomes an unexpectedly well thought through and, as it turns out, very bloody probe into the world of manipulative social media. Komasa makes light work of presenting us this chillingly realistic story of social engineering with the confidence of a world-famous director. Excellently acted and suspenseful to the end.

The powerful story of a heavy-metal drummer who loses his hearing, inspired by a true story. Ahmed’s acting recital is supported by work with sound, which jumps back and forth between general reality and how the central protagonist hears things. Joing the community of the hard of hearing and self-searching is very well presented. The image of the deaf drummer beating a tin slide that a deaf child has his ear pressed onto is a powerful one. In the end, the title Sound of Metal is a cynical play on words, suggesting that metalheads might all be doomed to hear just a tinny echo for the rest of their lives. I can’t fucking hear you!

The way of the just... Bosch is on the trail of stolen cesium, Irv is running for office and J. Edgar is stepping on the heels of a Haitian mafioso. Powerful dialogs, emphasis on detail and the great Titus in the title role of police bulldog. The creators try very hard and at the end things get fraught, almost in 24 style, but personally I don’t mind a bit. I hope they squeeze all they can out of the final series. You better hope you serve all 11. Every minute of it. No matter how long or short it is, I'm gonna be there when you get out, waiting for you, you fսck!

An interestingly filmed sci-fi about paramedics who, alongside the regular junkies of New Orleans, start to figure on the list of bizarre cases of severe harm/death connected with a new synthetic drug. The original topic is supported by a stifling atmosphere and solid acting performances. Directors Benson and Moorehead mainly tell the story of two pals who end up in slightly different shit creaks and the leaps in time are a clever tool used for telling us what is most important for leading a happy life. An inventive indie movie that will give fans of this genre pleasure.

The way the makers fooled around with the chronology of the storytelling makes viewing more difficult. And the chaotically layered scenes give away too much of the future. And also, it seems like the central character is Harold, and not Stu. We’ll see how things pan out.

These Returns of the Joker are always full-on. The surprisingly violent flashbacks draw on the comic book Death in the Family and, even though they slightly change it, I wouldn’t say this was a bad thing. The Joker’s technological advance in the future is just a clichéd laser beam that cuts through concrete, but his lines are as snappy as ever. I was very pleasantly surprised.
