After trying to study mathematics, Myriam Aziza became part of The Fémis (National School of Trades image and sound) in 1991 in the department of management, course she followed until 1995. She has made three short films awarded at several festivals, Sauf le Vendredi, Méprises y Comme on respire. Shortly after leaving school she co-directed, along with Sophie bredies, two documentaries on the issue of identity, We silencieuses traces in 1998 and Separated in 2001. After the projects that followed, two short, Le Pouboire shot in 2000 and L’âge de raison, 2004, and return to the documentary L’an prochain à Jerusalem, Myriam was established, again with the collaboration on the script bredies Sophie, with her first feature film Le Robe du soir.
