James-Edward Métayer

Born in Montreal, James-Edward Métayer first became interested in team sports, including football and basketball, before discovering acting during a school play in high school. Growing up with his icons Will Smith and Kevin Hart, he had fun at a younger age imitating them in their roles and decided to follow acting seriously in front of the camera. In 2016, James joins the H&M Agency Inc.(agencehm.ca) and began acting on a variety of commercial sets, before landing the lead role in the short film Avec les poings the following year. This confirmed his love for acting and he charmed everyone with his acting, poise and professionalism. In 2021, he lands the role he wants in the feature film Noémie dit oui. From this experience, he shares that he loved the atmosphere on the set with the crew and that he could share the screen with his good friend Maxime Gibeault.
