Johannes Stjärne Nilsson studied art in Stockholm and his main jo bis graphic design, drawing and directing. He is making films in cooperation with Olo Simonsson. Their surrealistic short film Bakom mahognybordet (1996) was selected into Semaine de la Critique in Cannes. The Cannes festival also screened their short movie Music for One Apartment and Six Drummers (2001), which won several awards worldwide and is still very popular among viewers on the internet. Spättans väg, 2005, was shown within the Forum of Independents at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Kvinna vid grammofon, 2006, was also screened at both Cannes and Karlovy Vary film festivals. Their first feature film was a music comedy The Sound of Noise. Their latest shor film Music for One X-mas and Six Drummers, 2011, was shown at the Prague Short Films Festival.
