Laura García Andreu

Laura García Andreu has two master’s degrees, in Audiovisual Communication (Universitat de València and Pompeu Fabra) and in Social and Cultural Anthropology (UNED and Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú). With more than 15 years of experience in the audiovisual sector, she combines filmmakeing with teaching in the Department of Communication Sciences of the Universitat Jaume I de Castelló. In 2018 she Co-directed and co-written the short documentary [m]otherhood; Best Documentary Short Film Award at the Academy Awards of Valencian Cinema and Best Screenplay Award at the International Medium-Length Film Festival La Cabina (2018). Domingo Domingo is the director's first feature film and won the award for Best project documentary at the San Sebastian International Film Festival (SSIFF). It was also selected and awarded at DocsValencia with the À Punt Award and the MAFIZ Award.
