Jorge Marín

Jorge is a sound engineer and the Technical Director of Arte Sonora Estudios S.L., a company he set up in 2003 with Sara Santaella (executive producer and manager). He has been awarded the Goya for Best Sound for Before the Fall by Francisco Javier Gutiérrez, nominated for the Goya for Best Sound for Alone by Benito Zambrano, winner of the ASECAN Award for Andalusian Cinema, Best Sound for Life in Flames by Manuel H. Martín and nominated for the Latin Grammy for 10 años with Bebe by Hernán Zin. He was also the sound engineer and producer of the soundtrack of Benito Zambrano’s Habana Blues, which won the Goya for Best Original Music.

He has more than fifteen years of experience in sound, both in direct sound recording and post-production, including editing and mixing. He has worked on the sound of more than one hundred feature films, series and documentaries throughout his career, with titles such as Plenilune by Imanol Uribe, 7 Virgins by Alberto Rodríguez, Flamenco, by Carlos Saura, The Ignorance of Blood by Manuel Gómez Pereira, Far From the Sea by Imanol Uribe, Gernika by Koldo Serra, Nacido en Siria by Hernán Zin, Lord, Give me Patience by Álvaro Díaz Lorenzo and The Best Summer of My Life by Dani de la Orden.
