Sia Hermanides is a screenwriter and director. With her films and TV series she wants to create new images and show underexposed stories. After earning her BA in Media and Culture at the University of Amsterdam and teaching for a few months in Tanzania, Hermanides graduated cum laude from the Utrecht School of Arts in 2010 with a degree in screenwriting and fiction directing. In 2016 she wrote and directed the television series Voetbalmeisjes and in 2019 she directed the series Papadag and the medium-length film Afua. Hermanides also wrote and directed the first two seasons of Ninja Nanny, sold to several countries. White Berry is her first feature film.
