Anders Morgenthaler (born 1972) graduated from the Danish Film School in 2002 with the animated short film ARAKI – THE KILLING OF A JAPANESE PHOTOGRAPHER . ARAKI was selected for the short film competition of the Berlin International Film Festival in 2003 and Poitiers Rencontres Henri Langlois Festival 2003, where the film won the French Critic's Prize. ARAKI was subsequently screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2003.

Prior to the Film School, Morgenthaler studied Interactive Design at The Design School of Kolding, from which he graduated in 1998. In 1999 he co-founded the company TV-Animation, where he created and directed several animation TV-series such as "JenniferJohn and BritneyBob" and "The Nelly Nut Show". Morgenthaler is also the creator of a daily comic strip along with his partner Mikael Wulff. Their partnership, WulffMorgenthaler, is also released as television series and has been developed into an animated series for MTV Europe. Morgenthaler made his debut as a feature film director with the animated film PRINCESS (2006), which opened the Directors Fortnight (la Quinzaine des Réalisateurs) in Cannes same year. The film has been selected to various festivals including Toronto International Film Festival, Melbourne Film Festival and London Film Festival amongst others.
