Mbithi Masya was born and raised in Nairobi, and is a filmmaker, writer, artist, formerly of the experimental art collective Just a Band, a house-funk trio whose first album Scratch to Reveal, met critical and commercial success. Known worldwide for his groundbreaking music videos, Masya's feature debut is Kati Kati.
