E. Annie Proulx

Annie Proulx's short story, "Brokeback Mountain," was originally published in The New Yorker in 1997. The story earned, among other accolades, a National Magazine Award. It was subsequently published in the author's 1999 collection Close Range: Wyoming Stories. In 1994, Ms. Proulx's novel The Shipping News earned her the Pulitzer Prize.
