Emmanuel Courcol

Born in 1957, Emmanuel Courcol begins his career on the stage, with theater directors such as Roger Planchon and Jean-Louis Thamin. He goes on to write a number of film scripts, including, in collaboration with Philippe Lioret, Mademoiselle (2001), The Light (2004), Welcome (2009), which is nominated for a Best Screenplay César, and All Our Desires (2011). In 2013 he directs the short film Géraldine je t'aime. Cessez-le-feu (2016) is his first feature film as director.
