After studying communication at the Sorbonne in Paris (CELSA) and specialized in cultural journalism and art publications, Laurence Deydier has written numerous articles and portraits of artists over the last ten years. She also has singing lessons and plays the piano. In 2008, she composed the songs for the short film Sous un coin de ciel bleu by Arnaud Demuynck and Cecilia Marreiros Marum, and took part in the 26 minute long musical cartoon Le Parfum de la carotte made in 2013 by Arnaud Demuynck and Rémi Durin.

She made a documentary in 2011 entitled Petites Histoires d'accordéon… diatonique about four accordion players: Marc Perrone, Laure Chailloux, Didier Demarcq and Benjamin Macke. In 2013, she wrote the script and songs for the short film entitled Qui j’ose aimer that she then co-produced with Hugo Frassetto. She has been a partner in the film production company Les Films du Nord, founded by Arnaud Demuynck, since 1997.
