Sedigh Barmak

He ended his posgrade studies in film directing at Moscow University in 1987. As a university graduate, he has been deeply committed with Afghan film before and after the Taliban regime, during which he was exiled in Pakistan. He is the director of Afghan Children’s Education Movement, ACEM, which promotes literature, culture and arts. Before Osama, his debut feature film, he made several short and documentary films.
